Frequently Asked Questions – DO NOT DELETE

See below for answers to frequently asked questions about the E-ticket you were issued during a traffic stop. If you don’t see the answer you need, contact the court listed on traffic citation for more information.
I received a card with a QR code from a law enforcement officer during a traffic stop. What should I do with it?

Scan the QR card to see the digital traffic ticket or warning that was issued to you by the officer. You can scan the QR code with the camera app on your smart device. Click on the banner that appears. An internet browser will open a webpage where you will be prompted to enter the citation number, your name, and date of birth. It’s important to enter the information as it appears on your driver’s license.

I scanned the QR code. How do I know if I received a citation or a warning?

Click on the tab marked “INCIDENT” along the left-hand side of the screen. On this screen, you will see all the citations and/or warnings issued to you during the traffic stop. Citations are marked as “CITATIONS” and warnings are marked as “WARNINGS.”

NOTE: It is possible to receive both citations and warnings. If you received a traffic ticket with both citations and warnings, your E-Ticket will show a court date. You must either resolve this ticket before the court date or appear in the court on the assigned date and time.

Which court do I contact if I have a question?

Click on “INCIDENT,” then look for the section marked “Court Information.” This section will contain the name of the judge and court, the address, a phone number and other pertinent information.

You may also click on “E-TICKET”. At the top, just below the date stamp, you’ll see the court name, address, and phone number assigned to your citation. Be sure to reach out to this specific court for any inquiries or proceedings related to your citation.

How much is the fine for the citation(s) I received?

Click on “INCIDENT.” The FINE TOTAL will be listed toward the bottom of the screen. If there is no fee listed, please contact the listed court.

You may also click on “PAY FINE.” This will show your total fine and you may proceed to pay the fine online.

Note: A convenience fee will apply.

How can I obtain a copy of the citation?

Click on “E-TICKET.” In the top right-hand corner of the screen, there is a download icon (arrow pointing down). Click the download icon to save a copy of the citation or to print a copy of it.

I scanned the QR code and it shows I received a warning. Is there anything more I should do?

No. After scanning the QR code and logging into the website, click on the tab marked “E-TICKET” along the left-hand side of the screen. If you see the following message at the top of the page “WARNING” followed by “NO FURTHER ACTION NEEDED” at the bottom of the page, there is no further action required from you.

NOTE: It is possible to receive both citations and warnings. If you received a traffic ticket with both citations and warnings, your E-Ticket will show a court date. You must either resolve this ticket before the court date or appear in the court on the assigned date and time.
